CCW In Action!

This page is here to let you know the thoughts, feelings and going-ons of the CCW Volunteer Staff. Hopefully this page will help you get an inside look at how others have been used and taught through CCW. Here are some of our 1999 volunteers' answers to maybe some of your questions:.

Why did you join CCW?

God called me.
God put the desire in my heart since I was in high school. The doors opened up this year to join.
I felt called to be involved in ministry. CCW allowed me to be able to minister to street kids.
To organize clothes- but now I'm hooked!
Every time I turned around CCW kept coming up. I knew it was time to join.

What are some things the kids have taught you?

A whole new level of love.
I think I know a lot, but I don't. I talk too much!
I have tons and need to start shedding it.
Street kids are like the rest of us: they need and want unconditional love.
Generosity, not needing material possessions.
That my boldness needs to increase as does my knowledge about God and His word.

What has God been teaching you through your time with CCW?

Ministering through relationship- He teaches me so much about boldness and not being self-centered.
Street kids are the fastest growing "unreached people groups". Their hearts are hard but they long for the spiritual fulfillment that comes in Christ.
That I might not be called to kids who have.
God has been teaching me that he loves the worst of sinners just as much as the "goody goodies."

God is good, we are nothing, God makes us everything.
Jesus can turn the water into wine, but he can't turn your whining into anything!
He's coming back, I just know it.
This is the most worldliest world in the whole world.
Life is like an icecream cone, at times it's delicious, at other times it drips all over your clothes.
If you don't have time for something, make time into something.
Whether it seems like it or not, at least some of these kids will wake up one day and Love Jesus.
